Happy President's Day

Well...it's President's Day.  Happy day all.  The girls have off from school today so they are just hanging out here until I go to work.  they are going to come with me and Allen is going to pick them up when he gets off around 3.  We had a little issue with Abby this weekend so she is not allowed to be home alone with Savannah.  Kinda throws a wrench in things some times.  Oh well.  Gotta do what you gotta do I guess.

New fabulous news is that Allen and I made the appointment for him to have his surgery done in May.  That was the soonest they had available.  We are leaving here on May 26th and driving to Oklahoma for the surgery that is on the 28th.  The day after his birthday.  Poor guy!  I love him for being willing to have the surgery in the first place, but the day after his birthday!  What a present!  Haha!!  So then we are going to drive down to San Antonio to see some of my friends that are still down there.    So excited!    Too cool!  Then back home the first week of june!   so wish us luck that we will be pregnant by the end of the summer!  I can't wait!

In other news, my picture of the day is going good...haven't really made it everyday but on the days I get more then one pic I just use one of those if I don't get one in.  We have had a couple birthday's Abby turned 14 in January and then Savannah turned 8 this month.  Allen's dad's birthday was in January also and Allen's sisters birthday was this month also.  Next month is my mom's and I don't have a clue what I am going to get her.  I am hoping that I will be able to go see her for her birthday!  I would  be sooo excited about that.  I really miss my family and Allen's knows that so he said I needed to go see them!  So hopefully that will work out.

We are still having issues with selling the houses.  But then again that doesn't suprise me with the economy the way it is, but they aren't really bad houses.  and we are only selling them for $35,000.  come on now!  That is sooo not a lot of money for 3 houses.  The banks are telling the guy that wants them that they will lend him the money but not on the houses themselves.  Crazy!  Hopefully we will have some good news this week!

Just a note...

Well just a note to put some more of my Project 365 pictures on here.  I am 12 out of 13 days to the good.  I do however have a reciept and tags from what I bought at Target yesterday to go in my Jan 12 spot.  I got Savannah 2 pairs of Mossimo jeans, a pretty blue and white striped sweater, and a short leeved shirt for a total of $14.62.  I sooo rock!  I am not giving them to her until her birthday next month though.  So here are some more pics to share with you!               

Okay so the first pic is of the Christmas deco that still needed to be put away my Jan 6 pic, the some goodies I got from my SEI order on Jan 7, on Jan 8 I got my box of goodies fro CHiara at www.houseofpaper.com (that was just the embellies...I got some paper also! lol), on Jan 9 I saw a pic on Becky Higgins blog of her taking a picture of herself through the rearview mirror of her car so I decided that would be my pic of the day(Jan 10th), the flag at work by the door that says it is 5 o'clock somewhere, love that sign!, the next on is a shot of the moon over the golf course for Jan 11th, then yesterday there wasn't a pic, and the last pic is of tonights sunset when Allen and I were going out to dinner. Well these are "great" shots but at least I am sticking with my photo a day! I really should take a photography class or something!

This year...

THis year is going to be a great year! I can feel it! Over at www.houseofpaper.com they are doing a Biggest Loser Challenge and so I thought I would let everyone know about it. It is more then just a diet or exercise thing they are doing...it is all about a healthier lifestyle and a change in the way you think.  I am just a supporter of this group since I lost 30 pounds over the last six months, but I think it is just as improtant for them to have a support group as well as the people that are going through the change with them!  Here is a LO I did of me after I lost the weight and have kept it off since I lost it!  I am a lot happier with myself! I can't believe I let myself get to the weight I was! YIKES!!  So if you need to loose some weight and you would like a support group to help you along the way go to houseofpaper and sign up!

In other news...I am so proud of myself that I have actually taken a photo a day since the first of the month! Very cool!!  Here are the last two day that I did...  The frog is a Webkinz that I have sitting on the top of my monitor and the other is the road to the golf course I work at called Happy Valley Country Club. I drive down this driveway everyday!  LOL It is a great course and if anyone ever comes to visit and likes to play golf this is the place to go!

It's a New Year...

And hopefully I will be able to keep up with this blog since I am paying for it...I am doing a project called Project 365 from Becky Higgins on her blog ( www.beckyhiggins.com ) and also the girls over at www.houseofpaper.com are doing it as well. So hopefully I will be able to get on here everyday and upload my pictures and update this thing!!  LOL here are my first 3 days....  The first pic is of some new sweaters I bought yesterday...then the blurry pic is of the pool and club house of our apartment complex we live in that I took today...didn't mean for it to come out blurry but it's cool I think...then the last one is of DH and FIL sitting on the couch playing on the Wii we got for Christmas. I am dreading taking sown the Christmas decorations....I have compiled them up and they are now under the tree to be put away...getting closer...well I guess that is it for now...will post some Christmas pics and more of the project 365 later!

My Art Journal

So I decided to go to Michaels today and get some stuff to do my art journal with.  I have now completed 2 pages and I love it!  Like Karen said...no rules...how fun is that.  Here is my first page in my journal.....

and I am waiting for my other addition to dry....

Look Nicole...2 entries in 2 days!!  I am doing good right??  LOL   Okay so I just took a pic of it instead of scanning it so I could finish my entry here.  I love this one more then the first one...I guess I will like them more and more as I go.  At least I hope so.

hmmm...

I really need to get better at doing this blog thing.  I guess I just feel I don't have to much stuff to talk about.  Abby turned 13 in January and then Savannah turned 7 this month.  Abby is the true teen right now.  She is doing bad in school and it is driving us all crazy.  She is so much smarter then what she is doing in school.  She says she can't ask her mom for help in doing her work....but when she is here Allen and I both help her.  I don't know.  Crazy and of course Savannah thinks it is great that Abby is always in trouble because of her grades. 

So we have decided not to move to Idaho.  With Abby acting up and everything we just feel that it isn't the right time for us to leave so we are looking for a house.  I hate this process.  Totally sucks. I like looking at houses but after awhile it gets kind of boring and all the houses start looking the same.  I haven't told my family yet and that is going to be hard since they were so excited about us coming.  But we need to do what is best for the kids right now and staying is the best thing.

I haven't done any scrapping lately and I don't know why.  It's not like I have been busy doing anything cuz I haven't.  I guess I just don't have any pics...we don't get the girls enough to take a bunch of pics with them and Allen and I work crazy shifts so we don't get to take that many pics either.  I would like to start an art journal... I think....LOL  A couple of the girls at www.houseofpaper.com are doing one and it just looks neat. 

If you get a chance go to Ali Edwards blog and she is has a cute mini album to download.  It looks really cute and I hope I can get a chance to do it.  It doesn't look to hard.  Okay well I guess that's it for now. 

Catch up

I guess I still don't have this whole blog thing down....but that's okay.  So Christmas came and went without any issues!  Thanks goodness.  Here are some of the girls opening their presents on Christmas morning.... It was so nice to actually be able to see their faces on Christmas morning instead of Christmas afternoon!  We took them back to their mom's around lunch time then we finished getting ready to go to Idaho.  We got into Idaho about 10:00 pm.  It was a long day traveling.  But it was well worth it.

The next day my dad came by for a bit while my mom was at work and we chatted for a bit.  I had my mom call my sister and tell her to meet mom at her house for lunch....my sister didn't know we were coming so when I opened the door and she say me standing there she almost fell on the ground.  She was so excited to see me and couldn't believe that we had kept it a secret for so long!  It was great.  It was a really good visit and I got to see Nicole!  It was great.  I still can't believe we will be moving up there in about 6 months!  Crazy!  I am excited though.  My sister and dad bought a new old house and they were still trying to get everything moved in and settled.  What a time to be moving right around Christmas.  They are nuts.  But their house is nice it is a 5 bedroom 2 and 1/2 bath, good size finced back yard,2 car garage...kinda small kitchen though...but you gotta sacrifice somewhere I guess.  Here are some pics of Allen shoveling snow for the first time at my mom's house.... he was so god about shoveling for my mom whenever it snowed.  It snowed about 12 inches while we were there.  We love it!  We didn't do anything for New Year's except stay at home with my mom.  Allen and I were both feeling kind of sick so we just stayed in.  It was okay though.  We watched movies then watched the ball drop and had some champagne.  It was nice and relaxing.  The next day we had to fly back home and neither one of us wanted to come back.  But we had to.  I had to work the day we got back and then Allen went and got the girls from school then came home.  All in all we had a great Christmas and New Year!  I hope everyone else did also!
